Crude oil is regarded as one of the most essential oil that the whole world is craving for. There are actually not many places in the world where one can get crude oil in abundance; that is the reason why transferring crude oil is necessary from one place to another. The transfer of crude oil happens through a pump which mainly does all the work. In earlier times, before 2005 there were 12 individual extraction stations that were used to get crude oil. In 2005, the pumping of crude oil ensured the availability of the oil for the next 20-30 years.
The oil wells are pumped with the help of the pumping machines and with the advantage of discharge pressure, the oil wells give out good amount of oil. The earlier stations that were used are now only there for measurement purposes of the live oil. There are certain stations which only focus on the preparation and separation of the live oils. The qualities of the crude oil are well handled with the help of the large progressing cavity screw pumps. The rate at which the oil will be extracted can be controlled fully with the help of frequency converters.
Why Crude oil Transfer Pumps are used?
- The crude oil transfer pumps are very manageable in order to get the right amount of oil for transferring. Some of the special requirements for the production of the crude oil are also fulfilled with the help of the pump. The large crude oil viscosity differences must be handled properly in order to get the pump working.
- The pumps are supposed to have a wide range of viscosity in order to perform in uniform and efficient manner. The high discharge pressure or high capacity is also required on the basis of certain requirements. Progressing cavity pumps are mainly used for well suited oils which has a lot of foreign gas and objects.
- Crude oil transfer pumps are mainly insensitive to the sand, water, rust or paraffin that comes out with the oil; it just focuses on transferring of the right amount of crude oil. Sometimes, crude oil is also mixed with gas or salt water; this is not a big problem for the transferring pumps to solve. They can easily pump that crude oil. During the time of installation of the suction valves, the valves are made flexible so that they can handle long amount of suction.
