● Your juices should contain 80% vegetables because juicing removes the fibre content and fruits can be high in sugar. You can add cucumber or coconut water to reduce the sugar content.
● When fresh juices are exposed to light or oxygen they lose their nutrient value. The juice should be stored in the refrigerator and you should not use plastic containers.
● You can buy fresh juices available in the market or online but they have to be consumed within a specific time. The juice must be refrigerated to improve its shelf life.
Example of a juice diet
You can begin by consuming juice 5 - 6 times a day. In the morning you can go for green juice made up of cucumber, celery and leafy vegetables. The cucumber and celery will help to keep you hydrated and the leafy green vegetables will help to produce energy and detox the body.
You can take the next juice after 2 hours which can be vegetable juice. It can contain beetroot, cilantro and fennel. The beetroot will help to purify the blood, fennel will help in digestion and cilantro will help in detoxification.
