  • Step1: Firstly you need to soak the rice and the urad dal in water for at least 5 to 6 hours, or you can also leave it overnight.
  • Step2: After this, the urad dal and the rice are ground to soft and fluffy giving a fine consistency to mix the batter.
  • Step3: After this, both the batters are ground in a mixer grinder and mixed. Both the mixtures are mixed and are allowed to ferment. Fermenting the idli batter allows it to be soft, light and healthy.
  • Step4: Now add the batter in the idli pan and place it inside a preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Your idli is ready.
